The NBFC ALM application provides six instrument-specific input templates, each downloadable directly from the sidebar within the application. There is one template for each supported instrument type: Loans, Bonds, Borrowings, Term Deposits, Demand Deposits, and Interest Rate Swaps, populated with sample data.
When the portfolio is ready to be analyzed, one or more templates are uploaded together through the Portfolio Analytics page. The application merges them into a unified portfolio. A separate Rates file, containing the valuation date is uploaded alongside the instrument templates.
Users who want to test the application before entering their own data can upload the downloaded templates as-is. The sample instruments are fully configured and will run through the complete analytics workflow, including cash flow projections, valuations, and rate shock scenarios.
This spreadsheet provides the acceptable values for each instrument type in the Portfolio Spreadsheet, including the required formatting of values and correct spelling of required inputs, such as "12-month", and "Actual/365".
Most importantly, the template instructs, per asset-type and liability-type, which fields are required input fields, which fields are results fields, and which fields may be left blank if not applicable, such as for adjustable-rate loan information.
